Who can come?
The Conference is open for all young people ages 13 to 19 who are serious about learning more about their faith. While it is designed for members of the Anglican Church, members of other churches will also be most welcome. Applicants who are 12 years old and exhibit personal and spiritual maturity may be accepted, subject to the recommendation of the Director.
Above all, Michaelites find in the Conference a supportive Christian Community in which young people make the sort of friends who can encourage them in their faith, helping one another to be serious about growing in their faith. The Conference encourages the Michaelites to be in contact with each other throughout the year, and to pray for each other.
What do we do?
The chapel is the centre of conference life. We begin each day with Morning Prayer. Evening Prayer is also said daily. Mornings are taken up with classes. Afternoons and evenings are devoted to more recreational activities – including visits to area recreational sites, including a beach and a waterpark.
Camp Wildwood is located on the Buctouche River in Bouctouche, New Brunswick. Conferees sleep in cabins with a resident counsellor – roughly 8 conferees per cabin. The conference also has a registered nurse on staff.
The full brochure, which should be available soon, will include registration form and class information. Registration fee will be $295 ($50 due with submission of registration form and balance due at arrival at the conference). The fee includes all meals and accommodations.
There are a limited number of bursaries available for conferees in financial need, please contact the Director, Fr Kevin Stockall.
